The Opportunity Boutique (formerly known as the Mary Durham Boutique) is located inside the Women’s Opportunity Center in Ithaca, The Opportunity Boutique is a curated thrift boutique where style meets purpose. Rooted in slow fashion and sustainability, we offer a thoughtfully selected collection of women’s clothing, shoes, and accessories—unique pieces chosen for quality, style, and a second life.

Our community supports this work in two powerful ways—by donating quality pieces and by giving them new life through thoughtful shopping.

Every purchase does more than refresh a wardrobe—it directly supports free programs and services that help women build independence, stability, and opportunity.

More than a shop, the Boutique is part of a larger mission: reducing waste, reimagining fashion, and creating pathways forward for women in our community.

Looking to donate clothing? Here’s what you should know before you drop off!

  • All donations should be in good condition; Please do not donate clothing that has developed mold, has stains, a strong odor, is ripped/torn, has a broken zipper, buttons that don’t button, snaps that don’t snap, is faded, has been heavily worn, etc. We strive to provide ready-to-wear clothing to women in need.

  • Work-ready items, such as dress pants, blouses, cardigans, and blazers are especially helpful.

  • We accept adult-sized clothing as well as baby clothes.

  • We accept shoes, clothing, jewelry, handbags, belts, jackets, and other accessories. We also accept small household items in good condition.

  • In Ithaca, no appointment is necessary to drop off donations. You are welcome to come in any time we’re open! You can also call ahead to book an appointment for a drop off (Helpful if you’d like a receipt/proof of donation!) To book an appointment, please call at 607-272-1520 x 204. We also have a bin behind the building for after hours donations.
