Join us virtually on July 15th from 1pm to 2pm for "Thinking Differently" - A workshop featuring Jill Merluzzi Johnstone! Jill will be speaking on the topic of Embracing Neurodivergence from Classrooms to Boardrooms. This workshop is designed for people in the workforce who want to learn about and/or increase their knowledge of neurodiversity and how to provide and support an inclusive environment for all people in the workplace. You'll gain a better understanding of people in society that have brains that work differently whether it be from ASD, ADHD, TBI, Dyslexia, FASD etc. and how using a brain-first lens approach leads to more understanding, compassion and accommodations that these individuals need to be their best in workplace and their lives.
A little bit about me; Jill: I am a Physician Assistant, founder of Health & Wellness with Jill, and a mom to 2 neurodivergent children whom I advocate for at school all the time. I have learned a lot about what neurodivergence means, what behavior really is, and how to support inclusivity, belonging and acceptance of people with different brains and different needs. I am a Syracuse native. I graduated from LeMoyne College with B.S. in Biology and Chemistry as well as from the PA Program at LeMoyne. I live on Onondaga Hill. I have always cared deeply for others and healing and empowering my patients over the years has been my pleasure for the past 27 years. I currently work per diem at St Joseph’s Hospital caring for surgical patients, however, my number one priority is being mom.
